I do love a good cherry blossom cake 
so I was excited when Joy contacted me to do a cake for her friend’s baby shower. She brought along a fabulous inspiration piece, this snippet of scrapbook paper. I LOVE it when people do this, it makes communication so much more clear so anytime you can bring something along that helps crystallize the design. We also pulled in some inspiration from two of my favorite cake designers Pink Cake Box and Chocomocakes.
Here is the final product, with the baby’s name on top plus a cute little bird and bird’s nest cause nesting is involved. Carrot cake on the top tier, lemon on the bottom.
Not your typical baby shower cake.
